In the 1950’s, Ricardo Miguel Udi started to manufacture and sell underwear in the province of Navarre under the name confecciones udi and met with enormous success. At the end of the 1980’s, the company changed hands, although continued to belong the same family, and moved to Madrid.
From the 1990’s, the male underwear market underwent a great change and the company developed a new business strategy by creating the UDY collection trademark, based on which its collections were divided into four main lines (sports line, hard line, night line and swim line), in order to offer the market the products it needed at that time.
Udy has never stopped innovating and conducting research with respect to the man’s underwear sector and in that sense, is a pioneer company in Spain in terms of both its garments and its brand image, which it has made very effort to maintain from the very first.
UDY has an important share of the Spanish market and is currently immersed in a process of international expansion.
